Donnell Owens
Hi - I’m Donnell, Owner and Founder of Gold Level Spirits. I spent the last decade rising through ranks in the food and beverage industry - from amateur bartender all the way to General Manager.
The idea to bring high quality mixed drinks directly to consumers was hatched in late 2019, right here in Charlotte, NC, when my stock as a bartender had just begun to grow; but was ultimately shelved due to COVID-19. Three years later Gold Level Spirits was incorporated and is truly the epitome of a dream deferred.
We take our mixology seriously, which is why many of our syrups and mixes are made in-house, often by hand. And even though quality is at the forefront of what we do, we still manage to offer competitive rates that make us assessable even to clients with a smaller budget.
Word of mouth has continued to grow our business in a very meaningful way and our success, from the very beginning, is beyond anything I could have hoped for as a business owner.
Our client list includes Fortune 500 CEOs, broadcast television providers, professional athletes, colleges, healthcare systems, and corporate clients all across the Carolinas. However, the bulk of our clients are just regular folks who like to have a good time! We’ve served at countless birthdays, weddings, baby showers, holidays and cultural celebrations and are always received well by our clients and their guests.

Meet Juwan, the newest member of our team. With a decade of experience in mixology and the service industry, he is ready to serve your event with great service and cocktail knowledge.
Favorite cocktail:…to make? A rendition of Liquid Marijuana with light, dark and coconut rums, blue curacao and melon liqueur. Topped with pineapple and a squeezed lime.

“In college I worked at a Tea Shop and enjoyed mixing different teas and herbs for different flavors and benefits. Once I learned that bartenders used were renowned as much as pharmacists in the 1800s; I made the choice to learn how to bartend. I look to provide a space for guests to relax, unwind and forget about their troubles on a bad day, and help them celebrate on the good days. Because sometimes the best remedy is a good drink and some good conversation.”
